All of us want to make a success of our lives. We might have several skills that define our personalities, but the desire to make a success in our lives, the desire to set goals and then make concerted efforts to achieve them will surely override any other skills that we may have.
You can say that your life begins to succeed when you make a full realization of what you want from your life, considering everything that your life has to give.
So, if the mantra of achieving success is seemingly so simple, why are there only a handful of people who we can really call successful in life? That is because most of the people we know do not believe in their own potentials. Most of them will only set goals for themselves, but the real victory comes when they fully believe that they have it in them to achieve those goals.
It is not enough to simple make a goal. You have to understand that the thing needed is to be earnest enough to accept the challenge. The belief that the goal will be achievable should be inculcated.
Bring your mind in a state of belief for yourself; it is not enough to just sit on an armchair and hope for things to fall in place. Summon the power of belief, and make efforts to achieve your goal with all the faith and courage you can muster.
We have all seen what challenges in life are. Our experiences are our teachers. But then we also harbor negative thoughts within our mind. And these are the thoughts that pull us away from success. In most cases, the negative thoughts we have are our bad experiences, which we can relate to the fears we have against our own success, i.e. the fear of failure.
Psychologists define fear as a normal human reaction when it is subjected to some drastic changes in life. Of course, fear is necessary. It protects us from plunging headlong into dangerous situations. A fearless person is also a foolish person, without any doubt. But at the same time, irrational fear of safe things is what brands people as cowards. Risks need to be taken in life. In fact, your negative thoughts will most times compound the feeling of fear. When the fear is actually just in passing, the inner negative thoughts will let you feel that the fears are substantial and will not allow you to get what you want.
Fears arise in your mind – the same mind where your actions and thoughts spring from.
Another thing to think about is your relationships in life. If you keep thinking that relationships are too complicated and require efforts to maintain them, you will cause problems for yourself and the other people involved in the relationship. You will begin worrying unduly about things going wrong, and the sad thing is that your actions will actually become wrong in the midst of such wrong feelings.
Yes, there are times when you have negative thoughts in your mind but even then your actions are right, but still in a little recess of your mind you know that those actions could have been better. Worry and apprehension still lie within you. Catastrophes do not occur, but if you keep harboring the negative thoughts in your mind and act under their influence, then you will not be quite far from a real catastrophe.
Just creating beliefs for yourself is not enough at all. You have to have positive thoughts and take the necessary step towards veering your life in the right direction. Only then will you start becoming the master of a successful life.
You must know what belief is before you make a beginning. Like, you might believe in wealth, and know that there are different ways of achieving wealth. Now, this is just knowledge. But if you are sure that you can follow on one of these ways and get the wealth for yourself, then that is belief.
The following are some guidelines for removing irrational fears from your mind and starting to believe:
1. Belief should always be stronger than fear. This will not be easy, but you will need to look inside you and see what the current circumstances are dictating. When you make successes of any kind, small or big, tell them to yourself. Look into what you have already achieved, and that will help strengthen your beliefs.
2. Your beliefs should be guided at your own potentials, and not be subject to the circumstances that exist around you. You have to have an innate belief in your own capacities. Many people put too much trust in some people, or in some things like a job or a house. But you must understand that this all is transitory. You are successful in life when you realize the temporal state of these things, and understand that the only true thing you can believe in is yourself.
3. Also, you must keep your belief as strong as a lighthouse. You must realize that failures do happen on the path of success. You must learn from your failures. Whenever you fail, you must take a reevaluation of your own goals and ideals.
Belief is a very strong thing to have, and our actions, feelings and all our decisions depend on them. You must stick to your beliefs, and change them if the changing situations demand for them. This is what will bring the true success in your life.
